List any significant historical events this individual participated in AND his/her role in these events:
Marc Antony went to Greece to study Politics although not as great as earlier or later politicians Antony was at least good. When in Greece, Marc Antony joined a Calvary under Aulus Gabinus and he also campaigned in Syria as well as some other eastern borders. During the campaign Antony distinguished himself as general; acting proud with courage and leadership. Antony ended the tour in Alexandria where he helped re-install the exiled king Ptolemy Auletes and were people say he met his lover 14 yr old Cleopatra. in the war over Gaul in 54 b.c. Antonius became one of Julius Caesars most trusted and subordinate alongside Labienus. In 49 b.c. Caesar as an act against the Senate marched over Rome with Antony at his side. In 42 b.c. Caesar left to go conquer Africa and Egypt leaving Rome in Antony's care. Left in charge Antony let Rome's social order crumble to the ground. While trying to regain composure many citizens in Rome were killed in the process. In which Antony was replaced by Lepidus as the keeper of Rome while Caesar was away. This was very disapproved by Caesar, Antony then fell out of Caesars inner circle for nearly 2 years. Until in about 44b.c. Antony was reestablished back into Caesars inner circle. After Caesars assassination in 44 b.c. Antony was very surprised he wasn't a target. During that time some citizens believed he may have been behind it also. Between the time of his accusations Antony was accused of losing power and money so as to shut down those accusations he attended Caesars funeral oration that was said to plunge the Romans into another Civil War. By late 44 b.c. Antony went past severals and assassinations to take power over Rome but during that time a new man took the plate. The plate was taken by Caesars grand nephew and adopted son Octavian. he challenged the authority of both Antony and the assassinations. AFter this Antony feld Rome and went to Egypt where he met the Queen of Egypt Cleopatra. They fell in love and had two sons I do not know their names could not find them but have read somewhere that Antony and Cleopatra had a daughter. Octavian came and fought Marc Antony for a couple years till he beat him in battle and for being beaten Marc Antony committed suicide. As did his wife Cleopatra 29 days after.

Why should future students learn about this individual?
Future students look learn about Marcus Antonius because he was one of Julius Caesars most trusted generals and Cleopatra's husband. He is an important person all because of these two people thats it plus he helped kill all of Caesars assassins with the man who brought him to the brink of suicide. Marc Antony isn't a brilliant man like the others like Socrates, Homer, Julius Caesar, Octavian but he is a true Roman general and he is loyal enough to his friends that he stays by their side when they burn down his or their birth city. He is an awesome person plus interesting.
